Marketing tasks can become cumbersome, inconsistent, and downright exhausting if you don't have the right tools. But we want to help. Firefly Strategies uses several marketing management tools to help clients streamline their marketing efforts and create systems that save time and bring in results. Below, we share our top 5 marketing management tools along with links to access those tools right away. So, you can start producing consistent, relationship building marketing campaigns that save time, increase productivity, and bring about BIG results for your business or organization... Tool 1. Social media posting and scheduling - Hootsuite.com
Register for this free tool as soon as possible. Hootsuite is a social media post scheduling tool. You can create and schedule all of your posts in advance and save hours. Most business owners I know end up spending time every single day trying to come up with posts, and then posting them on several different platforms. They post them all at once, rather than spreading them out over the week. And also, end up getting caught scrolling through their feed. Making a few posts every day, or even once or twice a week without audience engagement is a huge waste of time and energy. Ineffective marketing is the biggest money suck in your business. Instead, use one day each week to spend 20 to 30 minutes brainstorming on high quality, interesting, engaging posts. Spend another 20 minutes scheduling those posts in Hootsuite. You should have one post for every day of the week including weekends. Finally, spend the last 20 minutes engaging with pages and fans that are your ideal customers. Tool 2. Press release distribution - PRweb.com It's free! And it is a great way to direct more traffic to your website. Whenever you create a press release to send to the media or reporters, you can publish that press release online via PRweb. Insert your keywords into the press release for search engine optimization. The keywords should match what you have on your website so they are prioritized in Google searches. Do this regularly. Don't neglect this valuable tool. Tool 3. SEO keywords - Google Keyword Tool AKA Keyword Planner If you haven't done this already, use the Google Keyword Tool to choose effective keywords for your business. It provides great insights into the strongest words for competitive results in Google search as opposed to those that lack strength. Tool 4. Website email list builder - Sumo.com Though website popups aren't my favorite thing in the world, I tolerate and even respect those that are done tastefully and timed appropriately. We add popups to our clients' sites to drive in more traffic and consequently see a rise in sign ups for the email list. Sumo is a fabulous, free, and easy tool for creating and adding popups to client websites. Tool 5. Email marketing - mailchimp.com Our favorite email marketing management tool is mailchimp. The editor is incredibly simple, with clean and beautiful templates, and it is free for up to 2000 subscribers. If you want to get sophisticated with your email marketing, which you should, you can pay a small monthly free for access to various services. Autoresponders for your account is just one example. If you are sending out emails the old fashion way, then stop! Get mailchimp. 100% recommended. Good marketing management does take time, but it doesn't have to be tedious and draining. With the right tools, you can dramatically cut the time you spend on marketing management. Go check out our recommendations and let us know if you have any questions. Here's to your Illumination,
