I consistently get asked what is the 1 most important marketing activity to do. People ask "what is that 1 thing I need to do in order to get customers?" My answer usually is that there isn't. There is no 1 thing you can do to gain customers or more sales. People are complex human beings. We like to receive and absorb information differently depending on the time of day, season and how we are feeling on any given day. Yesterday, I read a report by MarketingProfs, a leading marketing research, and management company. One of many organizations dedicated to studying and reporting on marketing and communications findings. The report they published showed what major marketing departments across the U.S. are utilizing and spending their money on to get their message across to their target markets... The number 1 method used is Email Marketing. This surprised me a little. I kept hearing and reading that email marketing was dying. I was telling clients differently because I had worked with clients that were having great results with email.
This report confirms that email marketing is still a widely used marketing tactic that companies are willing to continue to spend more money on. So, if you have thought about cutting back or stopping your email communications, I'd rethink it. The other 3 areas reported to be most effective after email marketing is social media marketing, search engine optimization, and content marketing. I highly recommend you read the full article published by MarketingProfs. Click here. Now, I have a question for you. Have you been focusing on these areas for your marketing? If not, it's probably time you seriously incorporate at least one, if not all, of these top 4 marketing tactics. Leave a comment below and let me know what you've been focusing on and if that's going to change for you after reading this article. To your illumination,
